2024-2025
Jenny Marroquin. National ACTE Region IV Fellow. Siloam Springs, AR. Jenny is a 2017 graduate of the CATE program and is currently one of the National ACTE Region IV Fellows. The ACTE Nation Leadership Fellowship Program is designed to assist young leaders with professional development, policy knowledge, and leadership development.
Savannah Patton. Arkansas Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Leadership Fellow. Savannah is a 2023 graduate of our CATE program. Participants in the Leadership Fellows Program gain valuable insight into the processes utilized by policymakers in shaping and implementing laws, regulations, and public policies at local, state, and federal levels.
2022-2023
Savannah Patton and Madison Phinney. These two undergraduate students were two out of 20 recipients across the nation to receive the National ACTE Fellowship ($5,00 per student) to attend the National ACTE Conference in Las Vegas in November 2022.
Jenny Marroquin. Region IV New Teacher of the Year. Jenny was named the Association of Career and Technical Education Region IV New Teacher of the Year in April 2022. She is an alumnus of the CATE program and serves as a mentor teacher for the U of A CTE department.
Ashley Coston. Mentor Teacher of the Year. Ashley was named the CIED mentor Teacher of the Year for 2022. She is an alumnus of the CATE program and serves as a mentor teacher for the U of A CTE department.
2021-2022
Sophia Bodishbaugh. Sophia received the Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Grant from the Arkansas Division of Higher Education in the fall of 2021 and used this to fund her research during the spring of 2022. Sophia was recognized at the 2022 Annual State and National Awards Reception on April 18, 2022.
Emma Reimenschneider. Emma received the Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Grant from the Arkansas Division of Higher Education in the fall of 2021 and used this to fund her research during the spring of 2022. Emma was recognized at the 2022 Annual State and National Awards Reception on April 18, 2022.
2018-2019
Kendahl Hahn. First-Year Secondary Teacher of the Year. Kendahl, a 2017 graduate of the University of Arkansas, was named First-Year Secondary Teacher of the Year for the Lewisville Independent School District in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area.
